The Epiphyllum is one of the most beautiful and special flowers I've seen. Had a great time trying to get good photos of it.

I thought these little pieces of candy were so beautiful. They are delicious too. They were given by a Japanese aquaintance who was here for a conference. I still have an unopened bag because they are too pretty!

This ground squirrel at Point Lobos, California was so tame. It seemed to be expecting us to feed it, which was of course against the rule. It ended up posing for me, and even with my camera about an inch away from its nose, it did not even blink an eye.
